It is a system for assessing the impact of a product or service on the environment throughout its entire life cycle, from production to disposal. Manufacturers, in turn, gain a competitive advantage, increase their reputation and customer loyalty, and can also reduce resource and energy costs. Since 2024, a directive has been in force in the European Union, according to which statements about the environmental friendliness of a product or service must be scientifically confirmed and have a methodology.
